Grooming Salon Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment with Trinket’s Grooming Studio, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Appointments & Arrival Times

Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment.

Pets arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled depending on the day’s schedule.

Repeated late arrivals may require a deposit to secure future bookings.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the scheduled groom.

No-shows may be charged 50–100% of the appointment cost before another booking can be made.

Deposits are non-refundable for late cancellations or no-shows.

Matted Coats

Severely matted coats may require additional time, handling, or shorter clipping for the welfare of the dog.

Extra charges may apply for de-matting or heavily impacted coats.

In some cases, humane shaving may be necessary to prevent pain or stress to the dog.

While every care is taken, de-matting can occasionally reveal pre-existing skin conditions, sores, bruising, irritation, hotspots, lumps, parasites, or other underlying health concerns that were hidden beneath the coat.

trinkets Grooming Studio accepts no responsibility for pre-existing skin or health conditions discovered during or after the grooming process.

Fleas & Parasites

Dogs found with fleas or parasites will require immediate flea treatment at the owner’s expense.

Extra cleaning fees may apply due to salon sanitation requirements.

Aggressive or Anxious Dogs

Owners must disclose any behavioural concerns before the appointment.

We reserve the right to refuse or stop grooming if a dog becomes excessively stressed or aggressive and poses a risk to itself or staff.

Grooming charges may still apply for time already spent.

Health & Safety

Dogs must be fit and healthy for grooming.

Elderly dogs, puppies, or dogs with medical conditions are groomed at the owner’s risk.

Any known health conditions, injuries, allergies, or sensitivities must be disclosed prior to grooming.

While every care is taken, grooming can occasionally aggravate pre-existing conditions. Trinket’ Grooming Studio accepts no responsibility for complications relating to undisclosed or pre-existing medical or skin conditions.

Vaccination Requirements

Dogs attending the salon should be up to date with vaccinations or appropriate titre testing.

We reserve the right to refuse service if a dog shows signs of contagious illness.

Collection of Pets

Owners will receive a message approximately 15 minutes before their pet is ready for collection.

Once notification has been sent, pets must be collected within 30 minutes.

A late collection fee may apply for pets not collected within this timeframe.

Pets left beyond salon closing hours may incur additional boarding or care fees.

Payment

Payment is required at the time of collection unless otherwise arranged.

Prices vary depending on coat condition, behaviour, breed, size, and time required.

Breed-specific styling, hand scissoring, and high-maintenance coats may incur additional charges.

Photography & Social Media

We may photograph or video dogs for salon social media and marketing purposes unless the owner requests otherwise.

Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service to any dog or client were safety, welfare, or staff wellbeing may be compromised.
